Design Technology - Brooches so far...

Our Design Technology topic this half term is Brooches. We are currently half way through the project and have done some super work so far. We started by researching what a brooch was and what they look like. We then looked at a range of different brooches and scored them based on the material it was made from, the colour and the fastening it had to highlight the features we liked the best. After completing our research we moved on to designing our own brooches, we created two different designs, created mock ups, practised our running stitch and made templates for the final design ready to pin on to our felt. 

The work the children have produced so far has been beautiful and the effort they have put into their work has been amazing. Below are a few pictures of what they have done so far. Keep an eye out for the final products in the next week or so.
