Science Trip - Jodrell Bank

Year 5 visited Jodrell Bank this week as our WOW starter to our Science topic all about Earth and Space. The children had the opportunity to explore different exibits linked to Space, Stars, Planets and Light and had two workshops delivered by the staff there. They had a talk delivered about the solar system and constalations and then watched and took part in some experiements to investigate fire tornados, pressure and launching a rocket. They were able to asked questions and find out lots of information themselves as they explored around the discovery centre. The children's behaviour was fantastic and they represented Greenfield Primary Academy extremely well. They had a great day and are ready to use the knowledge they have gained from our trip in there lessons this half term.
