Snowman Cupcakes

In Reception the children are learning about weight. We decided to give this a fun twist and use the balancing egg recipe to weigh out ingredients to make snowman cupcakes. The children were able to talk about if they needed more or less ingredients and how the heavist side went down and the lightest side went up. They knew to take some ingredients away if they had used too much and it hadn't balanced. Once they had baked the cakes they decorated them as snowmen. What a tasty Christmas treat!
