Parent Support Co-ordinator

My name is Rucksana Begum and I am the Parent Support Coordinator at Greenfield Primary School. I have worked within the school’s Social Inclusion Team since 2008.

My role here is to support, advise and provide information to our families to help them to get more involved with their child’s learning and wellbeing.

Being a parent or carer isn’t always easy and I am here to help and support you to manage through difficult times in family life.

Support for families includes:

Parenting Courses
Family Learning Courses [Phonics/Literacy/Confidence Building]
Health and Wellbeing Classes
Healthy Cook and Eat Classes
Learn English Courses
Signposting to relevant services for extra support
Promoting good attendance and punctuality
Toddler Groups
One to One support
Home visits
Family meetings

Further details regarding any of the above courses, will be sent home with the children, posted on our website and displayed in our ‘Parent Information Board’ outside on the Playground.

If you need to contact me, you can email me on: rucksana.begum@greenfield.tameside.sch.uk or you can ask for me at the school office. I am currently available every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

This powerpoint was shown to the children in KS2 to inform the children about cyberbullying and what to do if they experience it. Please read this through with your child and discuss any concerns with them.
